The Heart of Our Program

In addition to privately-owned or leased horses, Scots Ridge is home to some of the best horses competing regionally in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association and Interscholastic Equestrian Association. The Maryville College horses, most of them donated by upper-level riders after successful show careers, are also available for use by other Scots Ridge clients in lessons and in shared lease arrangements.  Equine professionals all over the country drawn to Christen’s reputation for high-quality horse care regularly facilitate the donation of these “saints” to the College and new horses become available regularly.
